Rural Schools Collaborative
Rural Schools Collaborative maintains a small, dedicated team to support our Regional Hub Network program and partnerships.
Rural School Collaborative “Hubs” provide a flexible and cost-effective infrastructure for the organization. The relationships between the Hubs and RSC are mutually beneficial.
RSC and its Hub partners work together by:
- sharing stories and information;
- working together on authentic projects;
- exploring funding opportunities to support rural schools and communities;
- collaborating on signature efforts like Grants in Place and Rural Teach Corps.
Grants in Place Fellows program: serves teachers in RSC’s Regional Hubs, provides each with a $2,500 award to engage their students in a place-based project that directly connects the students with their rural community.
Rural Teacher Corps: unique initiatives to intentionally recruit, prepare, and retain rural educators.
GRAD Partnership for Advancing Student Success Systems: national initiative fostering the adoption of high-quality student success systems, empowering schools to graduate all students prepared for the future.
I Am A Rural Teacher: launched with support from The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and includes place-based teacher narratives, rural teacher resources, opportunities for teacher-to-teacher connections, and a free job board to promote the rural teaching profession.
