ASM Materials Education Foundation
The ASM Materials Education Foundation creates the spark of scientific and engineering knowledge that ignites a journey of innovation and discovery. The Foundation doesn’t just support classrooms – it transforms them.
K-12 Education Grants: The ASM Materials Education Foundation annually awards 30 grants of $500 each to help K-12 teachers bring the real world of materials science into their classrooms. “Living in a Material World” grants recognize creativity and enhance awareness of materials science and the role that materials play in society.
ASM MAterials Camp at Boise State: This week-long, hands-on lab experience shows educators how to use applied engineering techniques in their classroom. Materials Camp®-Teachers is an idea-generating workshop introducing teachers to methods that make math and core science principles more enticing and relevant to their middle and high school students.
Educator Resources: To help high school STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) teachers develop a more successful curriculum or lesson plan, the ASM Materials Education Foundation provides access to additional teacher resources.
ASM Scholarships for Undergraduate Students: The ASM Materials Education offers over 20 scholarships annually to undergraduates at traditional universities as well as technical and community colleges.
